The first week we spent in Cartagena, going to the beach every afternoon and spending time with Marcela:
Arriving in Cartagena
The lovely Marcela at her hostal
La India, famous statue in Cartagena
Joe Arroye, musician from Cartagena
one of the many negras selling sweets and here also dancing vallenato
Historical center in Cartagena
Enjoying the waves in Boca Grande
One night we went to have dinner in one of the restaurants in the historical center of Cartagena. It was amazing with salmon, langostina and delicious white wine:
Decoration with some kind of meatappetizer on it. Gustavo the only one eating meat though.
The sunset in the beach of Boca Grande was always very beautiful, and since we went to the beach every afternoon we expirienced quite a few:
Marcela posing at the beach :D
Crazy people
Marcela and I
Gus and I
Laughing at paparazzi Marcela
Happy face
Marcela left for Bogotá and we went to Barú, a small island outside of Cartagena. It was amazing! We stayed for free in the camping site, met a lot of great people and lots of relax. It is what we call a "bounty-island" in my family with extremely clear water and white sand. What more can you ask for?
Tortas fritas, ñam ñam
the afternoon was the only time we could juggle, it was way too hot during the day
Juli practicing her juggling skills
Relaxing at the campsite
Juli with her carita feliz eating some chicken
at the fireplace one evening
very early the last morning in Barú
Enjoying the view
Our "house" for the week we were in Barú
Crazy Barú family, I'll miss you very much. We are waiting for you here in Popayán ;)
we left in a boat and could see the guess praticing and waving goodbye to us
We left for Cartagena with Nicole and Cristóbal from Chile.
We had 2 days left in Cartagena before leaving for Popayán and we spent it with great company:
Castillo San Felipe
Crtistóbal and Gustavo
Nicole, Cristóbal and Gustavo
Barú family gathered in Cartagena, drinking beer before we had to leave the day after.
Now I am back in Popayán and the cruel reality of the every day life and study, but somehow it is nice to be back in house.
