Amazing Iguazú

Our final destination with my parents was Iguazú. It is a place that I always wanted to visit, and it was definitely well worth it. First day we hit the trails on the Argentinian side:

The butterflies liked to sit on Gustavo

La Garganta del Diablo

An afternoon snack at the pool

and a good dinner

Second day around we were in 3 countries, Argentina, Brasil and Paraguay. First we were at a bird park. Amazing park, animals that had been saved from trafficking or abuse, and they seemed to be doing very well there. We could even get very close to the animals:

Afterwards we went to the Brazilian side of Iguazú and we got to see the amazing panorama of the falls.

At the Garganta del Diablo

very close to the fall

Final stop was the biggest hidraulico in the world - Itaipú. Amazing to see the water going out.

It has been some amazing days here, but now my parents are going back to Buenos Aires and then back to Denmark. We don't have many plans, so time will show where we are going.

Córdoba and entering to a new year

After our visit in Santa Fe, we left for Alta Gracia in the Province of Córdoba. We both visited Che´s childhood house and the jesuit estancia. It was quite a nice small village to spend 2 days:

Che's house

copy of the motorbike he traveled on during his famous journey trough Latin America

A quick snack and a cold beer is great when it is extremely hot

Mom was very impressed about the enormous lines outside the banks for payday (it goes various blocks down)

Lunch before leaving for Córdoba

On the way we stopped to dip our feet in the fresh water

In Córdoba we met up with a friend we know from Playa Blanca in Cartagena, Colombia. Juli was travelling in Colombia but is actually from Córdoba so of course we were happy to see her again. We even made Colombian papa rellena for dinner. ñam ñam.

Great dinner, though around 2 hours delayed, South american time :p

2015 was getting to an end, but just because we are far away from home it doesn't mean that we can't maintain the traditions, so we had to watch the queen's new years speech, though on a very small screen for 4 people:

Afterwards we were lucky to find a restaurant with great food

the biggest tuna I have ever had, and it was delicious

chocolate and white chocolate ice cream with orange sauce on top for dessert

1st of January, international hangover day, we had a very relaxed day in the apartment, watched a movie and just hung out

hygge

It was Alberte's last day with us, unfortunately she has to go back to Florida to work, so we went out for some food in the evening

We saw this on the way, they just can't let go

Last supper all 5 of us on this trip. We already miss you Berdie !!!
