Hangover and going to the river with la abuela

The other night we went out drinking some beer with this chilenian guy, Daniel, who has been staying in the house the last couple of days. The day after with a hangover the only thing to do was making a huge sandwich and just relax.

The weather the last couple of days has been good, so we have been enjoying that it has not been raining. yesterday we went to the river with the grandma. It is not that often that she is in the mood to go out and do stuff like that, so it was really great to see her enjoying the beautiful landskapes and smiling :)

Exploring

The last couple of days we have been exploring and enjoying the beautiful nature around here.

]Today we went to the river. A couple picked us up and they brought us to a beautiful place near the river, but further up the mountain. They had there house there, and they were constructing to get ready to rent out rooms and cabañas. Beautiful nature and very nice people:

Family time

There has been a lot of family around here. Both the aunt from Bogotá and an uncle from La Plata came by to visit the grandmother. This was an occation to make a traditional colombian sancocho (it is a really delicious soup that is made with all different kinds of vegetables chicken and then just boiling on a bonfire for hours).

This same day they dicided to fix the roof of the house - a lo colombiano:

Besides that we have been juggling and enjoying as much as posible. There was this incredible rainbow the other day, it was 100 times more beautiful in real life than on the photo ;)

Back in Lokumbia

So now I am back in Colombia. I arrived last saturday. I was really lucky on the flight from Paris to Bogota, I was upgraded to business class, so i actually enjoyed the 10-11 hour flight ;)

I arrived and spent the first couple of days with Marcela. Going out dancing and going to the city center to buy different stuff. I had completely forgot how chaotic Bogota is. Horrible. But it was nice to spend some time with Marcela. She is just as great and loveable as always !

On Monday I took the bus and went to La Plata Huila to meet up with Gustavo. It was great to see him again. But also very surrealistic since one year has passed by since we last saw each other. We have been visiting his parents in La Plata and now we are at his grandmother´s in Pitalito. 

The day we arrived here to Pitalito it was his aunt Marisol´s birthday. Birthday celebration with a crazy amount of cake. Delicous !
