Christmas eve in Colombia

This was definately the most unusual christmas eve I have ever expirienced. First of all we went to a waterfall. This turned out to be more of a jungle expedition than anything else. Then second of all the traditions here are so different. It was a fun expirience and I'm sure that I will never forget this day, but there is nothing as good as a danish christmas.

Pitalito in December

We spent from the 2nd to the 19th of December with Gustavo's family in Pitalito. It was great because i felt like a part of the family. But in the end it was a little borring too, because it is a small town and there was not a lot to do. Plus I had my camera stolen, AGAIN.. damnit. but take a look:

Tatiana's 15th birthday

on Saturday Gustavo's cousin Tatiana turned 15, which aparrently is a huge deal here. I have never expirienced anything like this before. It was just like every girls princess dream. Take a look:

 First a special ceremony in the church to celebrate her.

 As if that wasn't a lot, mariachi came and sang a couple of songs for her.

The party lasted until 4 in morning when the mom wanted to sleep. crazy party, mostly because i don't understand why it has to be so extravagant. But definately a great expirience.
